Mr. Chemi Peres serves as an independent director at the Azrieli Group as of 16 January 2024. Chemi is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of the Pitango Venture Capital Fund. He serves on the boards of numerous Pitango portfolio companies, including: Taboola, Via Transportation, Masterschool, Duda, Localize, and Venn. Chemi has extensive experience as an investor and board member in many companies, some of which are traded on NASDAQ and NYSE, and which include Aladdin, AudioCodes, Orckit Communications, VocalTec, Koor Industries, and Teva Pharmaceuticals. In 2020, Chemi joined the Ethics and Sustainability Committee at GEOX S.p.a. Chemi serves as Chairman of the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation, and played an active role in establishing SFI – a charitable company and the first social impact investment company in Israel, where he served as a board member for 10 years. He co-founded the Israeli Solidarity Fund which provided economic support to thousands of families during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Chemi holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.
